Assistant Coach/Recruiter
Coach Smith enters his first season coaching at Macomb Community College and enters his second year of coaching overall. His previous coaching experience came with Knoxville College as a volunteer coach in 1995.
Coach Smith is a co-founder of I.C.E. (Inner-City Exposure), it helps minority baseball players gain exposure. Since starting I.C.E. in 2007, the program has helped 12 young men gain baseball scholarship and 4 young men were drafted in June 2008 professional baseball draft.
Smith is no stranger to playing baseball, from “90-94” he was a shortstop on the Knoxville College Baseball team. In the “93-94” season he earned the honor of Defensive Player of the Year! Coach Smith and his wife Antionette Smith have been married for four years and have three children.
