ANDREW MAKI

 

Andrew Maki is entering his first season as Head Coach of the Monarch Baseball Team.  Maki has spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach at Wayne State University and brings an unparalleled passion for the game to the Monarch program.

While at Wayne State, Maki was primarily in charge of recruiting and was named the hitting instructor for the 2007 season.  During that season, the team batting average increased by 36 points, with an average of .325.  In addition to his work at Wayne State, Maki has also served as pitching coach at Henry Ford Community College. 

As a player, Maki was an all-league pitcher and first basemen for Henry Ford Community College before finishing his playing career at Grand Valley State University.
