The Flint Pros

While they weren’t called the Tropics as in the 2008 Will Ferrell movie Semi-Pro, there was a semi-pro basketball team in Flint in the 1970s. David Rizik, whose father helped start the Flint Pros and became the game announcer, tells the real story of the team that played in the Continental Basketball Association during 1972–73 before disbanding after a few games into the next season.
