Macomb Community College’s Center for Continuing Education and the Macomb County Department of Senior Citizen’s Services have partnered
to provide practical help and emotional support for family caregivers with
hands-on training workshops to:

*identify caregiving tasks and challenges
*discover available programs and services
*cope with difficult behavior
*partner with your medical team
*find ways to avoid stress and burnout

Caregivers participating in this FREE workshop will learn:

 *how to assess a physical environment for safety threats
 *how to apply universal infection control precautions
 *about assistive medical equipment for home use
 *safe bed to chair, chair to walker transferring techniques
 *how to assist with activities of daily living
 *how physical/mental activity and nutrition relate to health
