Co-sponsored by Macomb Community College and the College for Creative Studies (CCS), the Macomb, St. Clair and Lapeer Region Scholastic Art Awards will hold its 2012 Regional Honor Exhibition at the Lorenzo Cultural Center, Jan. 31- Feb. 14. More than 500 works of student art will be on exhibit Wednesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays, 1 to 4 p.m.

Macomb Community College has received a grant from the Metro Health Foundation for the 13th consecutive year to support nursing scholarships. The Foundation is providing a grant for $10,000 to help create eight scholarship awards.

But with burnout an occupational hazard in college teaching as in many other fields, Macomb Community College in southeastern Michigan has begun investing in innovative faculty projects to help ensure that neither is left to chance.
