Prerequisite: Admission into the Health Information Technology Program, and HITT-1201, HITT-1206, HITT-1208, and HITT-1209, with grade C or better Corequisite: HITT-2101, HITT-2105, HITT-2106
(HITT-1209 & HITT-2108 together replace HITT-1207) HITT-2108 is a continuation of HITT-1209 that emphasizes the development of intermediate skills to code accurately and ethically. Students will gain an understanding of case mix analysis and application of reimbursement policies and procedures. Advanced case studies, along with the computerized encoding software, will be used in this course. (4 contact hrs) Center Campus.
