Macomb Community College celebrates 89th commencement on May 10

Macomb Community College is celebrating the accomplishments of those graduates completing degree requirements at the end of the winter 2013 semester, to which it is awarding approximately 1,500 associate degrees at its 89th commencement on Friday, May 10, 7 p.m., at the Macomb Sports & Expo Center on its South Campus in Warren.
The Most Distinguished Graduate and commencement speaker is Carissa Greenhow, 21, of Detroit. Greenhow is graduating with an associate of applied science degree in physical therapist assistant and plans to transfer to Oakland University in the fall to continue her education. Her goal is to earn a doctorate in physical therapy. She currently teaches dance at the Community House of Birmingham and hopes to someday treat dancers as part of her practice as a physical therapist.
