Apprenticeship

Your apprenticeship may qualify for college credit

If you completed an apprenticeship through a local trade organization, you may be eligible to receive college credit for your training.

The credit can be applied toward requirements for an associate of applied science degree in one of three programs:

  • Manufacturing Technology
  • Maintenance Technology
  • Building Construction Technology

Qualifying apprenticeship programs include:

  • Detroit Metropolitan Masonry Joint Apprenticeship and Training Fund Certified Masonry Construction Program
  • Detroit Carpentry Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee
  • Greater Detroit Cement Masons’ Joint Apprenticeship Committee Local 80 Sheet Metal Training Center
  • Pipefitters, Steamfitters, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Service Local Union 636
  • Michigan Laborers’ Training and Apprenticeship Institute
  • Millwrights Local 1102 Apprenticeship
  • Pipefitting Industry Education Trust Fund of Detroit and Vicinity
