Travel from Alaska to Barbados at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts

Clinton Township – Take a storybook journey on a replica steamboat through Alaska’s Inside Passage, travel to the Pacific to survey the spectacular undersea coral reefs of Fiji, explore the golden lands of pagodas in Burma and the breathtaking temples of Angkor in Cambodia, adventure to the “most British” islands in the Caribbean Region - Barbados, the island in the sun, and do all this from the comfort of your own seat at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts.

The Macomb Center is offering a package of four travelogues for $36; individual tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.  Begin your adventure with Steamboating Alaskan Waters on Sunday, January 10th; next travel to The Real World of Fiji on Sunday, February 7th; discover Burma and Cambodia: Lands of Conflict on Sunday, March 21 and on Sunday, April 25 travel to Barbados: Island in the Sun. All travelogues take place at 4 p.m.

Each travelogue is narrated by independent cinematographers offering the opportunity to learn first hand from these modern day explorers.  In the first travelogue Stan Walsh will take you aboard the steamboat Empress of the North and on a journey that evokes scenes right out of a Mark Twain novel, as he describes the beauty and culture of a magnificent land, while highlighting the history and glamour of America’s first people mover, the steamboat.
