A new career academy program at Macomb Community College will focus on the growing field of renewable energy.
The academy, which is open to teens age 15-19, will run 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Aug. 10-13, at Macomb’s South Campus in Warren.
Students will engage in a number of hands-on projects, such as the construction and testing of a windmill, building hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and generating power from solar panels. Participants will also visit and tour a renewable energy facility.
