Macomb Open House April 30

Campus tours, workshops and financial aid information will be the order of the day during the annual Spring Open House at Macomb Community College, 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30. The open house will be held in the John Lewis Student Community Center, K-Building, on Macomb’s South Campus, 12 Mile and Hayes roads, Warren.

Macomb offers degree programs in more than 100 fields of study, and representatives and faculty from the college’s various programs will be on hand to answer questions. Campus tours will visit many of the specialty labs and shops dedicated to various programs, including media & communications arts, electronics, architecture and other specialty areas. Those who apply to the college during the open house will be eligible to win a special $250 scholarship.

Four workshops will be offered during the open house: Starting at Macomb, at 4:45 and 5:30 p.m.; Financial Aid, 5 and 6 p.m.; How to be a Successful Student, 6 p.m.; and Understanding the Transfer Process, 5:30 p.m. Information on Macomb’s transfer programs, including the Macomb 2 Oakland and WayneDirect programs will also be available.

The open house is free, and no advance registration is necessary.
