Lorenzo Cultural Center Offers Tasting of Michigan’s Best Wines

On Thursday, October 27, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., the Lorenzo Cultural Center will offer a tour of Michigan wines, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gamay Noir and Merlot, led by Andiamo sommelier Heather Dean.
 
The Michigan Wine Tasting is part of the cultural center’s current program series, Michigan’s Harvest:  Food, Farming & Community, which runs through Nov. 20.  Dean, who is also an instructor of wine appreciation for students at the Macomb Culinary Institute, will kick off the tasting with a short presentation on the wines.  She will also be available to answer questions as guests sample up to eight selections, representing some of Michigan’s most renowned vineyards such as Bowers Harbor and Chateau Grand Traverse.  A light hors d’oeuvres buffet accompanies the tasting.
