Macomb Plans College and Transfer Fair

Macomb Community College will host site the All Area College and Transfer Fair 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28. The fair will feature more than 50 colleges and universities and be held at the Student Community Center, K Building, on Macomb’s South Campus, 12 Mile & Hayes, in Warren.

Representatives from the various colleges and universities will be on hand to answer questions about admissions requirements, campus life and transfer options for Macomb students seeking to continue their education.

Two free workshops will be offered at the fair:

* Financial Aid, 5:45 p.m. and again at 7:15 p.m. This workshop will cover how and when to apply for financial aid, and how to search for scholarship opportunities.

* Transferring Made Easy, 6:30 p.m. This workshop will focus on transferring from a community college to a four-year university and offer details on the Macomb2Oakland and WayneDirect programs – partnerships designed to ease the transition for Macomb students who intend to transfer to Oakland University or Wayne State University, respectively.
