Lorenzo Cultural Center kicks off National Volunteer Week with appreciation luncheon honoring cultural center volunteers

Volunteers of the Lorenzo Cultural Center at Macomb Community College were the guests of honor Monday at a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to recognize their contribution to the cultural center. The luncheon was timed to conincide with National Volunteer Week and the conclusion May 4 of the cultural center’s series, Michigan’s Fight for Freedom: The Civil War Era.

Albert Lorenzo, Macomb Community College president and for whom the center is named, thanked the luncheon guests for their volunteerism, stating that through their interaction, the cultural center guests receive a better experience.

The Lorenzo Cultural Center is located on Macomb Community College’s Center Campus, Hall and Garfield roads in Clinton Township. The cultural center is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.
