Center Line Students Win Macomb EMS Competition

Three teams from Center Line High School captured the top three places in the second annual Macomb Community College High School EMS Competition, May 13.

In the competition, which is sponsored by the Macomb County Fire Chiefs Association, students are tested both in hands-on emergency medical skills and with a written test.

The winning teams, all from Center Line High School, are: Rita Wojnowski, Justin Koester and Danielle Forbush, first place; Taylor Lizbinski, Kathy Grant and Dylan Kerr, second place; Katelyn Hafner, Lael Johnson and Brian Webb, third place. Dominic Calderone is the EMS instructor at Center Line High School.

The competition was held during National EMS Week at the college’s East Campus in Clinton Township, home of the college’s Fire Academy, EMS program and Police Academy.
