Clinton Township – Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings (DCWS) perform their beloved seasonal program of wintertime favorites. Join us as DCWS celebrates the splendor of the season with the majesty of their trumpets and trombones at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts Tuesday, December 15, at 7:30 p.m.  For tickets call 586.286.2222.

Founded in 1982, DCWS is an ensemble of musicians drawn primarily from the Detroit Symphony and Michigan Opera Theatre orchestras.  Now in its 27th year, the DCWS is known for their first-rate performances, recordings and educational programs, and has established a national reputation for artistic excellence. 

Three local school choirs will be joining the DCWS for the evenings’ performance: Stoney Creek High School of Rochester Hills, directed by Brandon Ulrich and Eric Kausch, Fitzgerald High School of Warren, directed by Darrin Brooks and Hart Middle School of Rochester Hills, directed by Jeffrey Zurkan.

Ticket prices range from $17 to $52 with discounts available for students, senior citizens, military personnel (both active and retired with a valid military I.D.), and groups of 20 or more.  Purchase tickets in person at the Macomb Center box office Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Friday 12 - 6 p.m.  The Macomb Center for the Performing Arts is located on Macomb College's Center Campus at 44575 Garfield Road in Clinton Township, Michigan 48038.  Tickets and additional information, including a complete season schedule, are available online at www.MacombCenter.com or by calling 586.286.2222.
