Macomb Community College’s Center for Continuing Education is offering career information workshops in a dozen different fields. The workshops, all of which are free, provide an overview of the training needed to entering the various fields and the job outlooks in the local area.
The workshops are:
American Sign Language, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, South Campus; or 6:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 25, Center Campus.
Court Reporting, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday., Aug. 26, Center Campus.
Entrepreneur, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, Center Campus.
Event Planning, 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, South Campus.
Film Industry, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, South Campus.
Floral Design, 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, South Campus.
Fitness Trainer, 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, Center Campus.
Health Careers, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, Dec. 1, South Campus.
Jewelry Trades, 6:7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, South Campus.
Landscape Design, 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, South Campus.
Mediation & Arbitration, 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, Center Campus.
Nurse Assistant, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, Sept. 29, Dec. 1 or 10 a.m. – noon, Oct. 13, South Campus.
Those interested in enrolling in the court reporting academy or the certified nurse assistant program must attend one workshop prior to registering for the program.
