Macomb Community College will celebrate the accomplishments of those graduates completing degree requirements at the end of the winter 2011 semester, to which it is awarding approximately 1,550 associate degrees, at its 85th commencement on Friday, May 13, 7 p.m., at the Macomb Sports & Expo Center on its South Campus in Warren.
The Most Distinguished Graduate and commencement speaker is Michele Rager, 41, of Warren, who is graduating with an associate degree in business administration and a 4.0 grade point average. A member of Macomb’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year college students, Rager is the mother of two: Emily, who is attending Oakland University, and Nikolas, who is attending Macomb. A former member of the U.S. Marine Corps and the 785th Military Police Battalion, U.S. Army Reserves, Rager is currently director of business development for the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce.
