CHRIS BROWN

 
Chris-Brown.JPG Chris Brown is entering his first season as Assistant Coach with Macomb's Track Team. Brown comes to the Monarchs after a successful career at Macomb. During his career at Macomb, Chris broke the school record in the Weight Throw during the indoor season, with a throw of 56'9". During the outdoor season, Brown broke the school record in the Hammer Throw, with a distance of 181' 7 ¾". Both distances qualified Chris to compete in the National Meet for the indoor and outdoor seasons. Brown earned All-American accolades for the indoor and outdoor seasons. He was also named the team's Most Valuable Performer. His success as an athlete earned Chris a spot in the Macomb Hall of Fame, as the 2006-07 Athlete of the Year.

Brown has been an active recruiter for the development of Macomb's Throwing Club, which has seen considerable growth. In addition to his work with the student-athletes, Brown also attends Wayne State University, where he is on track to earn a degree in Exercise & Sports Science.
