Academic Advisors are available to guide you through the admissions 7 Easy Steps to getting started at Macomb. They can help you to complete the Admission Application, prepare for Placement Testing, understand the New Student Orientation requirement, including your options for completing the orientation, and share tuition and financial aid information.

For additional assistance with the getting started at Macomb, Academic Advisors are available to meet with prospective students to discuss what Macomb has to offer and why it's a great place to start! Parents are always welcome to attend these advising sessions. In addition to receiving assistance with starting at Macomb, meeting with an Academic Advisor can help a student understand Macomb's degree and certificate programs as well as answer questions on transferring to a college or university. Interpreting COMPASS and ASSET Placement Scores

The placement test is a multiple-choice exam covering Math, Reading, and English. Academic Advisors are available to help you understand the importance of your placement testing requirement as well as interpret your placement test results indicating which level of math, reading, and English are appropriate for you. Macomb has a mandatory placement policy for Math, English, and Reading courses.
