Student Activities is located at South Campus in K-251 and at Center Campus P-127. Both Student Activities offices are directly across from the bookstore.
How do I join a student organization?
The meeting times and locations for all student organizations are listed on this website. In order to join, all you have to do is attend a meeting. If you have any additional questions about the organization, feel free to contact Student Activities.
I’m interested in starting a student organization. How do I start one?
Stop into Student Activities and one of the staff members will be able to help you. In order to start a student organization, you will need 3 members, an advisor and a completed constitution. Student Activities can also help you put together a poster to hang on the bulletin boards to help generate interest from students.
What is the Student Development Transcript?
The Student Development Transcript (SDT) is a record of the extra-curricular activities and accomplishments that you participate in during your time at Macomb College. Some advantages to participating in the Student Development Transcript Program are:
• You will have a record of all of your extra-curricular activities in one comprehensive document
• Hours of involvement and volunteering will be charted
• You will be able to receive professional official copies to include in your portfolio, resume or however you wish to use it

I want to attend a trip and noticed that the first 10 students are free. How do I sign up?
The first 10 students to sign up are free. When you sign up, you must pay a $5 deposit to hold your spot. This deposit will be reimbursed to you when you arrive for the trip. The deposit can also be reimbursed up to 2 weeks prior to the trip if you are unable to attend.
What is the Recreation ID Card and how do I get one?
The Recreation ID Card is given to those students who participate in the game room at either South or Center campus. This is not an official Macomb College ID. You must have a Recreation ID Card to check out equipment or use the tables or TV’s located in the game rooms. To obtain a Recreation ID Card, stop into Student Activities with a picture ID. You must be a currently registered student to receive a Recreation ID Card. It takes about 3 minutes to get your Recreation ID Card. You will be able to use this ID for your duration at Macomb. Each semester you will have to bring the card back to Student Activities to have the sticker renewed on the back verifying you are a student. If you lose, damage or have your ID stolen, a $5 replacement fee will be assessed for a new Recreation ID.
I want to work in Student Activities, what is the process for getting a job within the office?
All jobs within the office are posted on Macomb’s website under the Jobs heading. All resumes must be submitted through Human Resources, Student Activities cannot accept resumes for open positions
