Managers are in high demand in today's fast paced business world. The Bureau of Labor Statistics ranks the field of management amongst its fastest growing occupations for the years 2000 to 2010. The BLS predicts that over 360,000 managers will be needed in this ten year span. The BLS further forecasts that salaries for managers will be in the top quartile of all occupations.
Specific jobs for which the graduate qualifies will depend on the area of educational focus and elective courses selected (see the Macomb catalog for the program description). Business Management program graduates should be eligible for a wide range of entry-level positions in various business enterprises.
Employment opportunities can be found in manufacturing, retailing, wholesaling, financial, service, and nonprofit organizations. Wages and salaries vary widely depending on job specialty, education, experience, location, and size of employer. Visit Salary.com or the Wall Street Journal for current salary information.
