Introduction

The General Business program allows students the widest possible latitude in choosing business courses. The program is structured to provide basic knowledge and skills through seven common core business courses. In addition, students must select a minimum of 12 semester hours in business electives. The freedom in course selection enables students to tailor-make a business program suited to their educational needs.

The General Business program is compatible with many bachelor degree programs offered through local colleges and universities. Students intending to transfer must meet regularly with one of the college's professional counselors or academic advisors who will assist in the development of an appropriate Student Program Plan.

Program requirements can be completed both onground and online. College courses currently unavailable online at Macomb may be taken through the Michigan Community College Virtual Learning Collaborative.
