Our Purpose:
To support and advance the integration of changing technologies with innovation education. The philosophy that drives our technology services and initiatives at Macomb is that instructional technologies exist to serve and support learning and must therefore be integrated into instruction from the perspective of the instructor, not the technologist.
Our Mission:
The ways students construct knowledge can vary widely from discipline to discipline; so too, faculty use of instructional technologies to support learning will vary from discipline to discipline. Instructional Technology Services at Macomb Community College support discipline-focused uses of technology as well as more generic classroom presentation technologies. With this in mind, it is our mission to support, disseminate, measure and improve pedagogically sound uses of established and emerging technologies. The philosophy that drives Instructional Technology Services and initiatives at Macomb is that instructional technologies exist to serve and support learning and must therefore be integrated into instruction from the perspective of the instructor, not the technologist.
