TRANSFER AGREEMENTS

 

What is an articulation (transfer) agreement?

An articulation agreement is a “contract” drawn up between a community college and a college or university involving faculty, counselors/advisors, administrators and appropriate personnel at both schools.  This “contract” consists of aligning and transferring equivalent and prescribed courses applicable to a specific college or university program with the community college associate degree or program.  The student is then ensured that an entire bloc of courses will transfer, often a 2 + 2 (two years at Macomb and two years at the transfer college or university to complete the bachelor degree) or 3 + 1 (three years at Macomb and one year at the college or university to complete the bachelor degree).  This will, in some cases, ensure that the students receive junior status upon entry to the transfer institution.  Program plans of study for the following articulation agreements are available for current students through WebAdvisor.

Central Michigan University

  • Associate of Baccalaureate Studies with a Bachelor of Business Administration
  • Associate of Applied Science Allied Health Science with a Bachelor in Applied Arts with a major in Administration
  • Associate of General Studies with an Emphasis on Vehicle Design with a Bachelor of Science Vehicle in Engineering Design Technology

College for Creative Studies

  • Associate of Baccalaureate Studies to include Art and Media & Communication, MACA, courses with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (6 specialties)

Davenport University

  • Any Associate of Applied Science Degree with a Bachelor of Business Administration or  Bachelor of Applied Science degree 
  • A.A.S. Legal Assistant with a Bachelor in Paralegal Studies
  • A.A.S. Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN - Completion Program

Eastern Michigan University

  • Approved  A.A.S. Technical Programs with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Technology

  • Rochester College will accept up to 98 hours of transfer credit from Macomb towards bachelor degrees offered through its traditional college and 90 hours of transfer credit towards bachelor degrees offered through its College of Extended Learning

Saginaw Valley State University

  • A.A. Pre-Elementary Education with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education
  • A.S. Pre-Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • A.A.S. Nursing (ADN Completion) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

St. Clair County Community College (Transfer In)

  • Prerequisites for Macomb’s A.A.S. Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Respiratory Therapy, Veterinary Technician
