You can earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Macomb Community College, but should follow a prescribed plan of study selecting specifically designated courses. Work with your counselor or academic adviser when selecting you associate's degree coursework.

If you complete the Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Information Systems, but who have not followed the prescribed program of study at Macomb Community College, you may still qualify for the U of D Mercy bachelor's degree, but you will need to work closely with an adviser from the University of Detroit - Mercy to determine the appropriate path of study after transfer.

  • Complete the Career Preparation and Related Course Component of the Associate of Applied Science degree and the specified Arts and Sciences courses noted in the chart below, while maintaining not less than a 2.00 in all courses to be transferred to the University of Detroit - Mercy.

  • Complete the prescribed 63 credits of Upper Level Coursework required by the University of Detroit Mercy.
  • Complete the additional allowable Macomb bridge courses (courses beyond the associate's degree).
  • Transfer the 63 semester credits earned at Macomb to the U of D Mercy.
  • Complete an additional 63 prescribed credits at the University of Detroit Mercy.
