Bachelor of Science in Automotive Management

This program is available at the Macomb University Center or on the main campus.

To earn a bachelor's degree in Automotive Management from Ferris State University you must complete an Associate of Applied Science degree in an approved Macomb Community College program. A minimum of 43 Ferris State semester hours is required in addition to the 90 semester hours you will complete at Macomb. The combined number of credits required to complete this bachelor's degree program is 133 semester hours. The University has prepared a planned program guide for this degree and major. The information can be accessed through the Ferris State University web site or through Macomb College's WebAdvisor system. After completion your Macomb College courses, you will be able to finish your upper division requirements for the baccalaureate degree at the Macomb University Center located on Macomb's Center Campus. It is recommended that you work with both a Macomb College Academic Adviser and a Ferris State Academic Adviser to plan a smooth transition.

Ferris State University has established requirements for admission as a transfer student to the baccalaureate degree program in Automotive Management. These requirements are as follows:

Admission Requirements

Students entering this program must have an associate's degree in an automotive area or it's equivalent. Graduates of automotive-related associate's degree programs at other colleges are also qualified to transfer into this FSU program.

Graduates of automotive-related associate's degree programs at other colleges are also qualified to transfer into the AHM program, including graduates of factory co-op programs such as: GM's ASEP program, Ford's ASSET program, Chrysler's CAP program, and Toyota's T10program. Advanced standing in the program can be achieved by transfer of credit, armed forces study, College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and course proficiency examinations.

Graduation Requirements

The Automotive and Heavy Equipment Management program at Ferris State University leads to a Bachelor of Science degree. Graduation requires a minimum 2.0 GPA in core classes, in the major, and overall. Students must complete all general education requirements as outlined on the FSU General Education website.
