When and how will I receive my test results?
Upon completion of the test, an instant score report will be provided for you by the test proctor. You should retain this copy for your personal records. You will also recieve additional information regarding your test results via email, generally within 72 hours of test completion.
What do I need to bring on test day?
You must bring government issued photo identification, your confirmation letter, your Macomb College student I.D. number and your current email address.
What is the passing score for Macomb's HESI test?
The HESI test has 100 possible percentage points. The HESI test is only half of the ranking consideration, the other half being G.P.A. for the twelve most recent college credit hours. It is best to strive for the highest score out of a possible 100, and the hightest G.P.A. out of a possible 4.0.
What score do I need to get into the Nursing Program?
As the pool of nursing applicants changes each year, specific information regarding acceptance scores varies. The Enrollment and Counseling Offices can provide more specific information regarding admission requirements.
Why should I attend a selective admission seminar for the Nursing program?
Counselors and Advisors can provide very specific and valuable information regarding application processes, program requirements including prerequisites, ranking procedures and notification processes. The seminars are about one hour in duration and are provided free of charge.
How many students apply for the Nursing Program?
1,000 students apply each year. Macomb College does not maintain a wait list; students who are not admitted must re-apply should they wish future consideration.
