Students whose Grade Point Average (GPA) falls below a 2.0 are placed on Academic Notice. This is important because if your GPA is below 2.0 you cannot graduate, you cannot receive financial aid and your courses may not transfer to other institutions.
Since Macomb cares about your success as a student, we are offering the following academic support program for students with a 2.0 GPA or less. These free workshops will cover the same topics, so sign up for the one that best meets your schedule. Intensive training sessions will include study skills, testing taking skills, projects, presentation skills, metacognative thinking, plagiarism, and citation. Materials will be presented in modules requiring hands-on active learning techniques. Students must attend the complete four-day workshop to receive CEU (Continuing Education Unit) credit. Visit this website for future Academic Intervention Workshop schedules and registration information.
