Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)
This grant provides financial assistance to student who meet the following eligibility requirements:

Receive a Federal Pell Grant

Enrolled full-time
-
U. S. Citizen
-
Completed a rigorous high school curriculum after January 1, 2005

Have a 3.0 gpa (second year students)
Award amounts are $750 for first-year students and $1300 for second year students. Students must file the FAFSA, complete the Macomb Academic Competitiveness Grant Form and submit official copies of their high school transcripts.
Federal Pell Grant
This program entitles eligible students to receive a grant up to $4,731 per academic year, based on final appropriations set by Congress. How much the student receives depends on the information submitted on the FAFSA, enrollment status (full-time or part-time) and the cost of education at Macomb.

Pell Grant dollars must be used for educational expenses

Students cannot engage in the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession or use of a controlled substance during the period covered by the Pell Grant

Note: Students can only receive a Federal Pell Grant for the equivalent of two (2) full-time semesters each academic year. Students cannot receive a Federal Pell Grant at two colleges or universities during the same enrollment period.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
This program is for exceptionally needy students and provides grants from $100 up to $4000. Federal SEOG’s are awarded to Federal Pell Grant recipients with the greatest financial need.
