The membership shall consist of any member of Phi Theta Kappa in good standing as recognized by the Phi Theta Kappa Headquarters; and shall be open to all who meet all requirements set forth by the Association. Phi Theta Kappa Alumni of Macomb members shall belong to the Phi Theta Kappa International Alumni Association.

Alumni status as described at Phi Theta Kappa Headquarters is: “Any member of Phi Theta Kappa, who upon leaving community college was a member of good and regular standing and who was enrolled for at least one year in a two-year college, meets alumni status and is eligible to participate in alumni programs. Also eligible for alumni participation are all honorary members of Phi Theta Kappa. Membership is open to all qualified persons without regard to race, creed, religion, sexual orientation or national origin.”
