A Skills Specific Certificate in Automotive Technology will be awarded to students successfully completing:

• All courses listed in any specialty area.

A Certificate in Automotive Technology will be awarded to students successfully completing:

• The two core courses (AUTO-1000 and AUTO-1010)
• All courses listed in three of the five specialty areas

An Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Technology will be awarded to students successfully completing:

• The two core courses (AUTO-1000 and AUTO-1010)
• All the courses listed in any four of the five specialty areas
• Three of the five lab courses
• A minimum of 18 semester hours in the Arts and Sciences Component

The Specialty Areas include:

• Drive Line
• Engines
• Brakes and Suspension
• Electrical and Air Conditioning
• Driveability and Diagnosis
