Part-time Faculty Recruitment Fair

Event Details

  • Saturday, June 14th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Center Campus in the University Center Building 1.
  • Bring copies of your (unofficial) transcripts indicating earned degrees, and copies of your résumé
  • Start by attending a Welcome Session. Welcome Sessions begin at 9:00 and run every 15 minutes.
  • Then meet with a representative of Human Resources for transcript/resume review for teaching credit classes or go directly to meet with a representative from the Center of Continuing Education or the Workforce Development Institute.
  • After your transcript/resume review, qualified applicants will be directed to meet with area representatives from the teaching disciplines.
  • Coffee and refreshments will be served

Qualifications To Teach

  • Arts & Sciences: Master’s Degree in discipline or Master’s Degree in another field and at least 20 graduate credit hours in discipline required.
  • Career/Technical Programs: Master’s Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience in discipline required. Minimum two (2) years directly related work experience necessary. Teachers of certain Business, Culinary & Hospitality, Health & Human Services, Information Technology and Public Service courses must also possess specific Course Competencies.
  • Continuing Education (non-credit)/Workforce Development Programs: Professionals needed to develop and deliver a variety of courses for certification, licensure, advanced training and job skills.
  • Libraries & Information Resources: Part-time librarians must have a Master’s Degree in Librarianship or its equivalent.

Macomb Community College class start dates vary. The hiring department reviews applications and contacts the candidates they are interested in interviewing when class assignments become available (generally at the beginning of the semester in the fall, winter or spring).
