The following are a representative sample of programs and projects through Workforce Development at Macomb Community College:
· Contract with GM to provide global certification courses for the Controls, Conveyors, Robotics & Welding (CCRW now MAAC) technical services group. These courses have been held globally for GM suppliers in Korea, Australia, Mexico, Spain, India, Thailand, Belgium, The United Kingdom and China.
· Contract with UAW-Ford National Program Center and UAW-GM National Center for Human Resources as the Skill Center service provider for six facilities.
· Contract with the UAW-Chrysler National Training Center for training services at the UAW-Chrysler Technology Training Center.
· Contracts with various clients for Supervisory and Management training tied to their strategic business plans and development of competencies.
· A one of a kind collaborative agreement with the prestigious Kaizen Institute, the world-renowned pioneer in lean manufacturing and quality systems, to offer Kaizen training and seminars.
· Collaboration with TACOM and Ferris State University to design and implement an online 4 year degree program.
· Partnership with U.S. military, 4 year schools and equipment manufacturers in Fuel Cell Technology.
· Development of curriculum and manuals in standardized Process, Technology and Quality. These training manuals focus on visual exercises and process instructions and required minimal language translations when used globally.
· Instructor and Instructional Designer Certifications.
· Utilization of instructional design and re-design methodologies and incorporation of instructional technology based on client needs
