The Macomb Police Academy...Michigan's Law Enforcement training leader. 

     

If you want a head start, come to Macomb!

Since 1971, the Macomb Police Academy has provided basic police training to over 3,500 Michigan police officers.  Currently, over 220 Michigan law enforcement agencies have hired Macomb Police Academy graduates.

The Macomb Police Academy provides 17 weeks of  MCOLES  (Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards) approved basic police  training.  Highly qualified subject matter experts supply Macomb cadets with instruction that exceeds MCOLES mandates.  Macomb cadets have access to the latest law enforcement technology and equipment; including, fully equipped late model training vehicles, firearms, related firearm accessories, radios, and body armor.  In addition the Macomb Police Academy offers academic support and job placement assistance to all cadets. 

Two academy sessions are scheduled each year:

Fall 2013 - Academy begins August 12, 2013, and graduates December 11, 2013.  Application deadline is July 1, and interviews will be held July 16 and 17, 2013.

Spring 2014 - Academy begins January 20, 2014, and graduates May 16, 2014

Fall 2014 - Academy begins August 11, 2014, and graduates December 10, 2014.

Spring 2015 - Academy begins January 19, 2015, and graduates May 15, 2015.

The Macomb Police Academy is located a state of the art training facility on the East Campus of Macomb Community College, 21901 Dunham Road, Clinton Township MI 48036.
