Bench Skills – Jewelry Repair I, II and III will help you:
- Gain skills to enter the job market as an entry level jewelry repair technician proficient in stone setting.
- Begin your own business as a jewelry repair entrepreneur. Enrich your life by saving money as you repair your own jewelry.
The jewelry repair skills courses are instructed by renowned Master Jeweler Ken Langan, who has over 30 years expertise working in the jewelry repair industry. The classes are held in the newly developed jewelry lab at M-TEC. Students will obtain skills working on full sized jeweler's benches!
Gemology is the art and science of evaluating gemstones. Taught by Geologist Joel Vicary, the Continuing Education Gemology courses are exceptional and offer a great variety of experiences to choose from. The Gemology courses are held at South Campus.

- Become informed - before you say "I do" become acquainted with the 4 C's of diamonds - cut, clarity, color and cost. the Diamond Study Workshop is instructed by Robert Tudor.

- Analyze precious metals become acquainted with the content of gold, silver and platinum
- See touch and evaluate a wide range of organic, precious and semi- precious colored gemstones in the rough and already cut.
