Incident Command System Awareness
This is a four (4) hour course using NFPA Standards 1500 and 1561 along with guidelines established by the National Fire Academy. It covers the laws and standards required by OSHA, an overview of system, and definitions and terms.
Incident Command System
This is a sixteen (16) hour course meeting guidelines established by the National Fire Academy, OSHA and MIOSHA requirements, and NFPA Standards 1500 and 1561. It is designed to provide emergency response personnel and managers with the use, deployment, implementation and functions of an Incident Command System (ICS). Students will be given an awareness of the need for an Incident Command System, an overview of the structure of such a system and an understanding of the skills needed to manage and expand an ICS program. Emphasis on practical applications through extensive scenarios.
HAZWOPER Incident Management
This twenty-four (24) hour course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for emergency response personnel to safely and effectively manage hazardous material and fire emergencies. The program will include Hazardous Materials Operations Level curriculum, the Incident Command System, and the Eight Step Incident Management System as presented in the course text. Lecture, media, demonstration, table-top exercises and a self evaluation will be included in the course presentation. Meets OSHA 1910.120 and EPA 165.5.
Incident Command System and HAZWOPER Refresher/Workshop
This eight (8) hour course is intended to provide a comprehensive update and review of ICS along with hands-on experience using table-top scenarios. The scenarios may be derived from actual incidents or custom designed to reflect your environment and operations. The course will serve as the required annual refresher for HAZWOPER Incident Management (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120) and as an independent exercise for industrial and municipal entities.
