Recognition of Prior Training and Experience (RPTE) programs are offered as a waiver of mandatory basic police training and may be granted to a person who was previously a police officer in Michigan, another state, or to a Michigan pre-service candidate who is seeking additional years of eligibility. Macomb Community College Criminal Justice Training Center is proud to work in cooperation with Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) to provide both the RPTE Testing and Full Program. These programs are offered at Macomb College's Emergency Services Training Center located in Clinton Township, MI. Once you have received authorization from MCOLES, you must contact Macomb College to register for the Recognition of Prior Training test only or the full program.
