The Macomb Police Academy is located at the East Campus of Macomb Community College. Since 1971, Macomb has trained over 3,500 police officers from around the State of Michigan. Over 220 different law enforcement agencies in Michigan have hired Macomb graduates.

The academy has been updated to provide 850 hours/17 weeks of training approved by MCOLES to prepare candidates for entry into a law enforcement career. Two classes are held each year.

 Fall 2009
 Class begins August 17, 2009 and graduates December 11, 2009.

Spring 2010
Class begins January 25, 2010 and graduates May 21, 2010.

Classes are conducted at the East Campus Emergency Services Training Center and Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
