"What is the difference between an interior designer and interior decorator?"
While both work with the aesthetics of a room, color, textures and overall layout, the designer will have the knowledge and experience in building codes, electrical and plumbing, safety issues and often work with the architect on a project. A decorator will focus more on the paint colors and techniques, floor and window coverings, furniture purchases and placement and lighting in a room.
