Get acquainted with the hierarchy and many facets and "departments" within the art department. Discover skills for interviewing for your position to give you a leg up.

Work on breaking down a script, what it means to be in and required of pre-production, and preparing for principal photography.

Discsuss what the different departments do on set and the importance of taking photos, the paperwork needed, and buying and/or renting materials. What is "pulling set decoration" and actual set design?

Know how to work with the director, while working within your budget and preparing your department budget. Additonal information, details and techniques will be covered on  working on practical locations, working on a stage, wrapping a production, items to have in your kit, and finally what is delivered to the production at wrap.
