My child is mature for their age. Can they register for the next age group up?
You can register a child who is one year older or one year younger than the age that is specified for most classes. Please be aware that the content of the class is geared for the ages specified. Additionally, the child should be mature enough to not be a distraction to the class or instructor.
Are there discounts for registering for more than one class or more than one child?
No. We have kept the cost of the classes reasonably and competitively priced.
Can I register the first day of class?
This is not recommended. If a class does not meet minimum enrollment numbers, it will be cancelled 48 hours prior to the first class session. Register early to avoid disappointment!
Can I sit in on the classes with my child?
Parents/Guardians are not allowed to sit in on the class unless the instructor agrees to it. If there are extenuating circumstances you may call the office at 586.498.4000.
Are there additional costs for supplies?
Some of the classes do require a minimal supply cost. The dollar amount will be indicated in the schedule of classes.
If I want my child to take more than one class on the same day and there is a time lapse between classes is there somewhere for them to wait for their next class?
If your child has one or more classes that follow each other, please let the instructor know and we will make sure your child gets to the next class. However, if the classes are not in succession, we do not have anywhere for them to wait for their next class.
Can my child take a second session of a class if they did not take the first session?
Yes. In most cases the class will state if a prerequisite is necessary and our instructors are great about catching kids up when needed.
Is there anything else I should know?
A parent or guardian must complete an emergency contact form the first day of class. A parent or guardian must sign each child in and out of class. Kids and Teens are on the College Campus and must treat the property with the utmost respect. No running in halls, leaving the building, playing in the bathrooms, etc. Toddlers must be potty trained. Snacks can be brought to class. Summer classes only - your child will receive a C4K T-Shirt. Size and color are subject to availability.
