Do you have different size meeting rooms?
Definitely. The John Lewis Center has 12 different-sized conference spaces to suit small, medium or large audiences. Most rooms are flexible and feature divider walls to expand space and seating capacities. Our largest room measures 90' x 60' and our smallest space is 250 square feet. Rounding out the middle, we have 10 other rooms of various sizes -- to provide a full range of meeting spaces.
How do I check on room availability?
You can check room availability by contacting our Central Reservations Center at 586.498.4198.
How do I handle changes to my event reservations?
Once your event has been confirmed, any changes you need to make are to be directed to the conference services manager of the facility where your event is booked. Changes can be made by email, phone or by direct contact with the facility manager.
What are your cancellation policies?
Cancellations need to be received in writing no less than 10 business days prior to your event to avoid an administrative fee. For less than 10 days' notice, a percentage of your bill will be applied based on your guaranteed guest count.
Do you have catering services available onsite?
Yes. Macomb College employs a full, professional catering staff and offers an extensive menu selection for breakfast, lunch, dinner and meeting breaks served in either buffet or sit-down/plated styles. Service is available in all event facilities.
Do you have handicap parking for my event?
Yes. Handicap parking is available in all campus parking lots and are marked accordingly. Use of them requires the placement of a state-issued handicap sticker or license. Violators will be ticketed.
Can I bring my own A/V equipment for my event?
Yes. But, each event facility has its own adequate supply of A/V equipment which has already been prepped for immediate use. However, many clients prefer to use their own laptops, which is acceptable in any facility. FYI, all college campuses have wireless Internet access for your convenience.
What are the rates for your facilities?
We offer both profit and non-profit organizational rates. Please call our Central Reservations Center (586.498.4198) for additional information.
My attendees may need overnight lodging. Can you help?
Yes. There are several nearby national chain hotels and motels, some as close as three miles away. A complete list of them can be found by visiting our industry partner's (Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau) website at www.visitdetroit.com.
Can I bring my own food and beverages to an event?
No. The college has an exclusive contract with Creative Dining Services who provides all food and beverage services on campus. CDS ensures all food is served fresh and adheres to health code restrictions required by law.
